Student Voices Parts II

A while back I wrote about student voices and a student survey I completed at my school. I wanted to take that a bit further and ask students some very specific questions about their learning. Here are a few of the responses that speak directly to what some of us know is the right way to teach students. The questions asked students to reflect on how they learn and what they like about school. If you had to ask your students, what would they say?

  1. Great post Josh! Not only is it interesting to hear the student answers, it is great that you asked the question. I think we often underestimate the value that students can bring to instructional planning process. Thanks for posting.

  2. I agree, too many teachers are afraid of feedback…and certainly afraid of what a student might say. Personally, they are the ones that I have to answer to at the end of the day. So why not ask them how things are going?
